Random thoughts among other things from a smelly good boy

Takuma Sato doing a little gardening at Spa this past weekend. Nice one!
That'll affect the resale value...

Finally back on my bike. Though it hurts like mad holy hell, my back is keeping limber and all the power has seemed to return to my legs. Having a bulging disc is no way to get on in life. Fecking annoying.
Life is so much easier when you have no office to go to everyday.
Since I've the time and the skill set, I'm back to making art and have been
commissioned by a couple of people for some work. Some days are harder than others, spending 8 hours a day in your own head will do that to you, but I pity the people that aren't introspective. They are all surface and insecurity that spout on about things they think they know and things they wish they'd experienced.
Below are some recent works.

Back from Hawaii and finally getting around to posting.
Hopped over to Maui to do the Cycle to the Sun Race up Mt. Haleakala with WW and Steve C. We had a gorgeous house to crash at and a great time riding and surfing. Maui is a paradise.

The view from the lawn

Me doing the S.U.P surfing (stand up surfing) thing- which is hard as, but fun as.

Steve C. riding it to the beach.

Good thing I brought my super light Trek Space Shuttle Race Bike with extra lightness wheels made from Martian polymers since the race goes from sea level to 10k ft in about 50km! Apparently it's the steepest road in the world in terms of elevation gained over distance. Oh, and I stopped eating Kat's cookies for a week (which, if you've ever had my wife's cookies, you know how hard this is!) in order to keep the weight down. Rough one, that.
Anyway- we all made it to the top and suffered like dogs in the altitude, but it was well worth it and I even got lei-ed- at 10,000 ft no less! Nice.

Steve, WW, and myself at 10k ft!

Either way, it was a fun time. The ride up was hard and caused me to see 13 shades of Jesus at
about 8500ft, got dropped by a 45+ guy (standard this year) and a tryingtobeanathalete guy on
a TT bike! How droll...

I got home, painted the house and now I'm ready to start looking for a 'real' job.

WW catching a wave!
